「北大嶼郊野公園擴建部分開幕暨健步樂」路線全長10公里，由東涌至梅窩，漫步大約需要四個多小時。該路徑是從大嶼山的北面走到南面，橫跨香港第24個郊野公園「北大嶼郊野公園(擴建部分)」及北大嶼郊野公園；起步點為東涌港鐵站，經東涌海濱路接新近落成的奧運徑，終點為梅窩。沿途山明水秀，除可欣賞到香港生態重地之一的大蠔河之外，還可見到不少村落遺址；途經的多條村落，如白芒、牛牯塱、大蠔、白銀鄉、橫塘等，歷史均源遠流長，這條路徑堪稱大嶼山的自然歷史徑。

The Lantau North (Extension) Country Park Opening cum Hiking Festival includes a hiking route of about 10km from Tung Chung to Mui Wo. The route takes about 4 hours to complete. It starts from North Lantau to South Lantau, encompassing the Lantau North (Extension) Country Park – the twenty-fourth Country Park of Hong Kong, and the Lantau North Country Park. The hiking will start from the Tung Chung MTR station, along the Tung Chung waterfront to the recently established Olympic Trail, and finish at Mui Wo. The route offers scenic attractions all the way. Apart from the chance to appreciate the ecologically important Tai Ho River, one also gets to see the relics of various villages, such as Pak Mong, Ngau Kwu Long, Tai Ho, Pak Ngan Heung and Wang Tong which have a long history. The route is hence known as Lantau’s nature heritage trail.

7. 參加者務必自顧安全，確保有能力安全地完成整個活動。若因參加者的疏忽或體能欠佳而引致參加這項活動時發生意外，主辦單位概不負擔任何義務或責任
8. 參加者需穿著遠足鞋服，自備午膳乾糧、足夠食水、個人裝備及晴雨天用品
9. 如活動當日早上七時懸掛任何風球、暴雨或雷暴警告，活動將取消，不另通告
10. 參加者必須於活動當日帶同確認信到登記處報到，未能出示確認信者，將不獲接受參與活動(電話登記之參加者須說出確認編號)。
11. 本活動登記及起步時間為早上9時至10時，逾時不候
12. 終點將於下午4時關閉，參加者必須於終點關閉前到達
13. 參加者所填資料只作是次活動統計用途

Points to note:

• Due to limited places, registration will stop once quota is met.
• Only one registration is allowed of each email address.
• Each successful applicant will receive a letter of confirmation by email.
• Registration by phone: please call 3105 0849 (from 10am to 6pm)
• No change of participants is allowed once registration is confirmed.
• No registration on the day of event will be accepted.
• All participants should be responsible for their own safety and make sure that they are physically fit to finish the entire route. The organizer shall not be held responsible for any accident due to the participants’ own negligence or physically unfitness.
• All participants should wear proper hiking shoes, and bring along their own packed lunch and adequate water, personal hiking equipment, rain gear or sun protection gear.
• The entire event will be automatically cancelled if any typhoon, rainstorm or thunderstorm warning is hoisted at 7am on the day of the event.
• On the day of the event, all participants must produce their letter of confirmation at the registration counter. Those who fail to produce the letter of confirmation will not be allowed to participate in the event (participants who registered by phone should provide their registration number).
• The time of registration of this event will be 9am to 10am. Later arrivals will not be accepted.
• The finishing point will be closed at 4pm. All participants should arrive at the finishing point before the closing time.
• All information provided by the participants will only be used for statistical purpose of this event only.
