「新創建西貢地貌行」路線全長17.5公里，由北潭涌經大浪灣至北潭坳，步行約需六個多小時。本路徑深受遠足人士歡迎，沿途既可細賞萬宜水庫的美景、踏過水清沙幼的西灣，更能在險峭壯麗的蚺蛇尖下，靜聽鹹田灣海浪滔滔。大浪灣的海岸地貌豐富多變，約有1億4000萬年歷史火山岩，在海浪和風化的力量下，被塑成深邃的海灣和岬角，悠長歲月的侵蝕和沉積，拼湊出連綿壯觀的大浪四灣。西貢大浪灣展現了香港壯麗的海岸地貌特色。

NWS Sai Kung Geo Wonders Hike 2008 starts at Pak Tam Chung to Pak Tam Au, via the idyllic coastlines of Tai Long Wan, stretches for 17.5 km, takes about 6 hours to complete. The hiker’s favorite route offers spectacular view of the High Island Reservoir and Tai Long Wan. Tai Long Wan is one place where you can appreciate the variation and grandeur of Hong Kong’s coastal terrains. The coastal scenery of Sai Kung manifests the powerful force of the ocean, which results in strings of deep bays and headlands. The headland at Mong Yue Kok and the majestic Sharp Peak, both volcanic rock terrain dates back some 140 million years ago, demonstrate the unique geodiversity of Sai Kung landscape.

• 參加者務必自顧安全，確保有能力安全地完成整個活動。若因參加者的疏忽或體能欠佳而引致參加這項活動時發生意外，主辦單位概不負擔任何義務或責任
  
• 參加者需穿著遠足鞋服，自備午膳乾糧、足夠食水、個人裝備及晴雨天用品
  
• 如活動當日早上七時懸掛任何風球、暴雨或雷暴警告，活動將取消，不另通告
  
• 參加者必須於活動當日帶同確認信到登記處報到，未能出示確認信者，將不獲接受參與活動(電話登記之參加者須說出確認編號)。
  
• 本活動登記及起步時間為早上9時至10時，逾時不候
  
• 終點將於下午5時關閉，參加者必須於終點關閉前到達
  
• 參加者所填資料只作是次活動統計用途

Points to note :

• Due to limited places, registration will stop once quota is met.
  
• Only one registration is allowed of each email address.
  
• Each successful applicant will receive a letter of confirmation by email.
  
• Registration by phone: please call 3105 0849 (from 10am to 6pm)
  
• No change of participants is allowed once registration is confirmed.
  
• No registration on the day of event will be accepted.
  
• All participants should be responsible for their own safety and make sure that they are physically fit to finish the entire route. The organizer shall not be held responsible for any accident due to the participants’ own negligence or physically unfitness.
  
• All participants should wear proper hiking shoes, and bring along their own packed lunch and adequate water, personal hiking equipment, rain gear or sun protection gear.
  
• The entire event will be automatically cancelled if any typhoon, rainstorm or thunderstorm warning is hoisted at 7am on the day of the event.
  
• On the day of the event, all participants must produce their letter of confirmation at the registration counter. Those who fail to produce the letter of confirmation will not be allowed to participate in the event (participants who registered by phone should provide their registration number).
  
• The time of registration of this event will be 9am to 10am. Later arrivals will not be accepted.
  
• The finishing point will be closed at 5pm. All participants should arrive at the finishing point before the closing time.
  
• All information provided by the participants will only be used for statistical purpose of this event only.
